This course is accredited with the Transport Education Training Authority and covers unit standard “123259” NQF level 3, 4 Credits.
All training programs are Outcome Based and are assessed according to various Unit Standards and Outcomes. Assessment criteria consists of a Formative Assessment, In-Class Assessments and a Summative Assessment.

Course Overview:
When involved in the Handling and Transportation of Dangerous Goods, specific responsibilities have to be adhered to therefore a set of prescribed regulations and operating standards dictate how the goods are marked, packaged and transported. These specifications are detailed and discussed during this course.

Course Overview:
First Aid Level 1 is a requirement of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993. This is enforced by the Department of Labour with a minimum requirement of 2 First Aiders per Company, Building, Section or Level.
This course is vital for implementing immediate Action in a Medical Emergency. It is a critical step in Preserving Human Life.
The course is interactive with many practical elements as well as the required theoretical aspects.

Course Overview:
To become competent in operating forklift trucks for safe and efficient movement and stacking. To take care of equipment in compliance with manufacturers and legislative standards.
DEFENSIVE DRIVING
This course is accredited with the TETA Education Training Authority and covers unit standard “377201” NQF level 5, 6 Credits.
Many drivers have a false sense of comfort after many years of experience at the wheel. Research has indicated that drivers might even get measurably worse over time and advanced driver training might add to more road safety awareness. This awareness is not restricted to just other road users, road conditions, and infrastructure, but the “joining up” of these elements into an overall understanding of their meaning in terms of potential hazards and the appropriate driver response.

Course Overview:
Defensive driving is not merely using a set of driving skills when on the road. It starts with preparedness on the side of the driver and an awareness of abilities, challenges, restraints etc. Understanding and use of skills in order for the driver to do everything possible to reduce driving risks or avoid accidents and maintain safety at all times is of profound importance to creating and driving in a safe environment. This course is designed to equip the driver with the knowledge necessary for understanding associated risks.

This is a requirement for the PRDP license. Please note that this is only available for the day classes held at out training centre.
